Synvisc Injections

Previously delivered as three separate injections, Synvisc^® now comes as a single injection called Synvisc-one^®. This treatment is suitable for patients with mild to moderate osteoarthritis of the knee, and has also shown considerable promise in early stage osteoarthritis of the hip.

 

Synvisc-one^® is a gel-based injection composed of hyaluronan (also called hyaluronic acid) that is found naturally within the joints of the body.  When injected into the joint Synvisc-one^® assists with lubrication and shock absorption.
